Copyright & IP Policy

Togethers respects copyrights, trademarks and other intellectual-property rights. Users must only share or display material they are legally permitted to use. Accounts associated with repeated infringement may be restricted or terminated when appropriate.

1. Copyright infringement notice

A copyright owner or authorized representative may report material believed to infringe copyright. A complete notice should include:

1. identification of the copyrighted work, or a representative list of affected works;
2. identification and location of the allegedly infringing material, including relevant URLs or room details;
3. the reporting party’s full name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
4. a statement that the reporting party has a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized;
5. a statement that the notice is accurate and that the reporting party is authorized to act for the rights holder; and
6. a physical or electronic signature.

2. Review and action

Togethers may request additional information, remove or restrict access to reported material, notify the affected user, preserve relevant records and take other action considered appropriate. Submission of a notice does not guarantee a particular outcome.

3. Counter-notice

If your material was removed or disabled because of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice containing:

1. identification of the removed material and where it appeared before removal;
2. your full name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
3. a statement, made in good faith, that removal resulted from mistake or misidentification;
4. consent to the jurisdiction and service-of-process requirements that apply under relevant law; and
5. your physical or electronic signature.

A valid counter-notice may be provided to the original reporting party. Material may be restored when legally permitted unless Togethers receives notice that a court action has been filed.

4. Misrepresentations

Knowingly submitting a materially false infringement notice or counter-notice may create legal liability. Consider obtaining independent legal advice if you are unsure whether material infringes copyright or whether an exception applies.

5. Other intellectual-property reports

Trademark, impersonation and other intellectual-property complaints should identify the relevant right, registration where applicable, the disputed use, its location and the reporter’s contact information. Reports may be sent to legal@togethers.tv.

6. Repeat infringement

Togethers may suspend or terminate users who repeatedly infringe, or are repeatedly and credibly accused of infringing, intellectual-property rights. The response will depend on the circumstances, applicable law and available evidence.
